No Germs Allowed

Willa should be released in just a few hours. We are just hanging out and waiting for the doctors to do their final rounds and the nurse practitioner to complete the discharge orders.

All of the nurses wanted to make sure we understood the danger of RSV and how important it is we try to limit Willa's exposure to others for at least six weeks. What can seem like just a sniffle to a child or an adult can be deadly to a baby.  We are going to follow the same visitation rules as what they have here in the NICU -

No children under the age of 13 can come in the house
We welcome people to come and visit us - but we do ask you've had your flu shot.
Even though you won't be able to go near Willa we will ask that you wash your hands.
